TOTAL IMMERSION SWIM CLINICS

The Total Immersion (TI) approach to swimming has been successfully adopted by thousands of people.. triathletes as well as people just wanting to be a better swimmer. The TI approach is to use the whole body to move in a streamlined and balanced way -- "like a fish".

There will be three Total Immersion swim clinics offered at Multisport World 2009. The first will be the Total Immersion "Basics" Clinic. This 1 hour clinic is ideally suited for beginner to intermediate swimmers looking to develop a smoother and more efficient swim stroke. Utilizing the teaching pool at the Zesiger Sports & Fitness Center, four certified Total Immersion coaches will be on hand to teach three key skills of "Perpetual Motion Freestyle". Each Basics clinics will be limited to 16 people to ensure a ratio of 4 people to 1 Total Immersion coach per clinic. CLICK HERE for more information and to register.

Total Immersion Video Swim Assessment will be second clinic offered. This 1 hour clinic is ideal for intermediate to advanced swimmers looking to have their current swim stroke analyzed and critiqued. Each participant will be video recorded while swimming from both the front and side views at the surface level as well as underwater. Swim stroke footage from all four angles will then be burned onto a take-home DVD that will include audio commentary and instruction from a certified Total Immersion coach.

In addition to receiving the DVD, participants in this clinic will learn some of the basic skills needed to help them develop the fluent and efficient technique that is the trademark of the Total Immersion method of swimming. Each Video Assessment Clinics is limited to 4 people. CLICK HERE to register.

JUST ADDED! The Total Immersion Speed Clinic addresses what Total Immersion considers the only guaranteed way to swim faster: improve the way you blend Stroke Length and Stroke Rate. In this 60 minute clinic limited to 8 athletes, Total Immersion coaches will show you how to plan your speed and achieve a faster swim by using these two key metrics of speed (with the aid of a Temp Trainer) to greatly increase the effectiveness of every pool hour.

Two Speed Clinics will be offered on Sunday, 3/22. One at 11:40AM and the other at 1:00PM. CLICK HERE to register.
