Competitive events offering an early season test of your endurance
Competitive events at Multisport World at the Hanley Center for Athletic Excellence will include the Amaiza Fitness Indoor Bike Time Trial (multiple heats from 10AM to 4PM) and the Bonzai Sports Relay Team Swim Challenge (meet on pool deck 8:45AM). These events will offer great prizes and lots of fun for all participants... plus a great outlet for all those hours on the indoor bike trainer and in the pool!
THE AMAIZA FITNESS INDOOR BIKE TIME TRIAL
Indoor CompuTrainer time trials (TT) offer great off-season competitive bike racing. Riders race on their own bikes mounted on CompuTrainers (CompuTrainers provided by Amaiza Fitness) which enable riders to feel exactly the same loads they would on the road at the same speed, grade and gear.Riders in the Amaiza Fitness Indoor Bike TT at Multisport World will line up side by side facing a large screen showing the course profile, each rider's position on the course, and each rider's race data including distance, elapsed time, and power. The Amaiza Fitness Indoor Bike Time Trial is a 10k race for both teams and individuals with prizes awarded for the following:
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Fastest Male
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Fastest Female
- 1st and 2nd Fastest Team
- "Luckiest" TT Participant
Rudy Project, exclusive helmet sponsor of Multisport World, has contributed TT helmets as prizes to the 1st place Fastest Male, 1st Fastest Female and each member of the 1st place Fastest Team. Rudy Project Sport Mask USAT sunglasses will also be randomly given away to the "Luckiest" TT Participant. Bonzai Fitness will provide gift certificates to the 2nd ($50) and 3rd ($25) place fastest males and females and to each member of the 2nd fastest team ($25 each). PLUS, the first 40 people who sign up for this TT will receive a Spinervals' DVD (a $30 value). TEAM PARTICIPATION: Team participation is limited to the first 12 teams that register. Teams enter with 3 members and the team's collective 3 times will count as the team's time. The team with the best time will be crowned the TT champion.

About Amaiza Fitness: Amaiza Fitness and the A-Team provide triathlon training and coaching in a team setting. We focus on the individual triathlete and utilize the team environment to help you achieve your specific goals whether it is to complete your first triathlon or an Ironman. USA Triathlon Certified Coach Laurie Bickart is Amaiza Fitness’s head coach. We offer indoor cycling training powered by CompuTrainer, weekly coached sessions which include swimming and track workouts. Additionally, we offer individualized training programs either in-person or online.
Grab your friends, your teammates, your training partners (anyone that is ready to swim!) and put those hours swimming in the pool to good use! Sign up to compete in the Bonzai Sports Relay Team Swim Challenge, a swim meet where 4-person teams will swim a total of 1,600 yards (400 yards per member) to win some great prizes and just have fun. This is a chance for your team to show who's the fastest in the water.
Made possible by the support of Bonzai Sports, the Bonzai Sports Relay Team Swim Challenge will be in the Hanley Center for Athletic Excellence pool at Georgetown Prep. Swimmers will report to the pool deck at 8:45AM to allow for check-in and warm-up. Swim times will be provided to each team member and then combined to form the overall team time. All members of the top three fastest teams win great prizes. This competition will be limited to ten (10) 4-person teams and teams can be all male, all female or a mix.Also sponsoring the event is Blue Seventy who will be giving a FREE pair of Vision swim goggles (a $20 retail value!) to all members of all competing teams. PLUS, Blue Seventy will also provide some of the prizes for the top finishing teams and a Blue Seventy Helix wet suit will be randomly given away to one team member giving everyone that signs up a 1 in 40 chance to win a wet suit (assuming 10 teams register)!SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY How would you like to have Lisa Bentley race on your team? One team can! One team of three athletes can sign up to race with Lisa Bentley as the fourth member of their team. While the cost to participate by other teams is $60, the cost to race with Lisa is $100 and that $100 registration fee will be donated to the St. Michael's Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic (in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) on Lisa's behalf.
