The EnduraFit Team Challenge: An entry into the Multisport World swim, bike and run events and a chance to compete for valuable prizes!

After a successful debut in 2011, the Team Challenge returns in 2012 wiith a new sponsor! The EnduraFit Team Challenge invites clubs, training groups, friends (anybody!) to participate in the swim, bike and run events offered at Multisport World. Participation earns you a chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes from our sponsors -- and snag some swag, too!
The EnduraFitTeam Challenge is comprised of the following three competitive events:
- The Multisport World Campus Dash (Start: 9AM)
- The FastSplits Indoor Bike Time Trial (Start: Mulltiple heat start times to choose from)
- The Relay Team Swim Challenge (Start: 11:45AM)
FORMAT: Register a team in the EnduraFit Team Challenge and you're registering a team to compete in each of these three events. Your team roster may consist of 4 to 12 members. Each individual event requires 4 members to participate so you can enter the same 4 members in all 3 competitive events or have up to 12 different members participate across all 3 events (i.e. 4 different people in each of the 3 competitive events). Teams in each event must have at least one female.
TIMING and PRIZES: The Team's Time in each individual event will be based on the combined time of the 4 individuals that participate in that event (e.g. the individual times of each member of the 4-person team that runs in the Campus Dash will be combined to form the Team Time for that event). The Team's Time from all three individual events will then be combined to form their Overall Team Time and the team with the fastest Overall Team Time will be crowned the EnduraFit Team Challenge Champion! EnduraFit, title sponsor of the Team Challenge, will award valuable gift certificates to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in the Team Challenge which will be redeemable for custom technical triathlon, cycling or running apparrel from EnduraFit. Each individual event will also award prizes to the 1st and 2nd fastest teams and the fastest male and female in that event -- and there's great swag just for signing up, too!

About each event in the EnduraFit Team Challenge...
THE MULTISPORT WORLD CAMPUS DASH is a 3 mile race on the MIT campus that begins and ends on the MIT track right next to the Zesiger Sports & Fitness Center. The race start is 9AM. Each member of the 4-person team must complete the 5k course and the combined time of all 4 members will be the Team Time for the event. Each member of the team will also receive their individual time. Prizes to be announced.
THE FAST SPLITS INDOOR BIKE TIME TRIAL has athletes hook their bikes to Computrainers provided by FastSplits and a ride a 10k course. Computrainers simulate the feel of the road with increased resistance on climbs and limited resistance on downhills for a race just like the real thing! Each member of the 4-person team must complete the 10k course and the combined time of all 4 members will be the Team Time for the event. Each member of the team will also receive their individual time. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest male, fastest female and to each member of the 1st and 2nd place fastest teams. The FastSplits Indoor Bike Time Trial is held on the Multisport World expo floor in MIT's Rockwell Cage and when registering for the EnduraFitTeam Challenge teams select one of 6 possible start times for their TT heat (10:45AM, 11:30AM, 1:15PM, 2:00PM, 2:45PM, 3:30PM).
THE RELAY TEAM SWIM CHALLENGE is a 1200 meter relay swim event that requires each member of a 4-person team to swim 300 meters. The combined time of each member will be the Team Time and prizes will be awarded to the fastest male, fastest female and the 1st and 2nd place fastest teams in the Swim Challenge. The Relay Team Swim Challenge will start at 11:45AM and take place in MIT's pool within the Zesiger Sports & Fitness Center. TYR, official wetsuit sponsor of the Multisport World Boston event, is a supporting sponsor of the Relay Team Swim Challenge and will give a free pair of TYR swim goggles to all members of the first 12 teams that sign up and contribute great prizes, too!
